One of many topics of conversation this year....what is HOME?

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) defines homelessness for the Census of Population and Housing, as the lack of one or more elements that represent ‘HOME’. These elements may include: a sense of security, stability, privacy, safety, community and the ability to control living space.

• what does having a HOME look like for us?

• what is the felt sense of HOMELESSNESS?

• can you have a roof over your head and still be HOMELESS?

• when is housing not a HOME?

• is public housing the solution?

• do we have a right to a HOME?
