LELHA is a lived experience peer network that supports and empowers people impacted by homelessness to recognise and act on our individual and collective strengths.
LELHA aims to create a space where we can share:
š A sense of belonging and home
š Giving and receiving support
š An opportunity to be seen and heardĀ
Ā Ā ....in our needs, our talents, and our strengths
š Acceptance for who we are and where we are right now
Additional Points
To build a nationwide community of people with a lived/living experience of being without a home; that is fully independent and lived/living experience led.
To share lived/living experience knowledge and concerns, provide mutual support, and identify opportunities for collaborative action (between individuals or groups).
LELHA is intentionally lived/living experience led and independent of organisational affiliations
LELHAās aims and priorities are likely to change over time as the lived/living experience attendees needs and interests change.
LELHA is not intended to replace other groups that include lived/living experience advocacy / education / support / etc.Ā
LELHA aims to be supportive of the work of others and attendees are encouraged to find opportunities for collaboration.
LELHA is a safe space for people to share their lived/living experiences ā opinions expressed are owned by the people sharing them and meeting records will be kept at a high level to preserve the confidentiality of contributions.
LELHA is open to allies who wish to contribute and support its aims ā however meetings will be structured to ensure lived/living experience voice is safe and prioritised.
