Mission Statement
LELHA is an independent lived experience peer network for people impacted by homelessness. We gather to affect change and to recognise, and act from, our individual and collective strengths and aspirations.
LELHA aims to create a safe and inclusive space where we can share:
A sense of belonging and home
Giving and receiving support
An opportunity to be seen and heard - in our needs, our talents, and our strengths
Acceptance for who we are and where we are right now
LELHA believes that homelessness can and should be ended in Australia. We believe that this is best achieved through collective expertise, including the diverse expertise of people with lived/living experiences of homelessness.
As a lived experience peer network, we commit to revisiting our aims and values continuously as our needs and the broader context changes.
