Business Meetings
Business meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, 11am-12pm (log in from 10:45 am Brisbane AEST time).
Business meetings are open to any person with a lived/living experience of homelessness and to allies.
Business meetings provide a provide a structured space for the progression of LELHA projects and decisions. All LELHA decisions and actions are finalised at business meetings. LELHA makes decisions collectively and commits to valuing all lived/living experience contributions, and experiences, before decisions are finalised. Decisions are generated through open and respectful discussion. Decisions are made by consensus. If consensus is not reached then the conversation continues.
Business meetings are founded in a principle of collaboration.
All attendees take responsibility for their own actions and decisions. LELHA values the contributions of all attendees equally. We recognise that people bring different values, skills, experiences, and knowledge, and believe this does not mean that one view is more worthy than another. We encourage the free sharing of knowledge and ideas, and also encourage attendees to reflect on who might need the most support to be heard. The ambition of LELHA is to find common ground in a way that values diversity.
